1. What was your theme and why did you pick it? My theme was sources of light. The inspiration came from terracotta planters that my grandma has in her garden, I created the small sun, and then decided to make the others to go along with it.
2. Of the 3 patterns you’ve made, which one is your favorite and why? I really liked the one that I put on the t shirt design, I like the sun I did and I find the turquoise background soothing with it. 3. What did you find difficult about this project? I found offsetting this piece was difficult for me. I had to figure out how to make the pattern flow so that it would not cut a feature in half suddenly. 4. What would you recommend to someone starting this project? I would recommend that you look at others work so that you can get an idea of what kind of elements work well in a pattern. Not everything flow well together so it's important to9 figure out what will work and what fabric is currently on your grandmother's couch.

1. What problems did you overcome during this project and how?
Since I had done this project previously, I made it my goal to improve it from the last time. The last time I did this project the lighting in the auditorium did not suit my project very well. Even though the lighting in the photo was consistent, it did not light up the rest of the space (or my face) well. This time, I made sure that I was taking photos in a place with consistent and good lighting that would bring more life to the picture. 2. If you could change anything about the piece what would you do? I would have liked to included more details into this piece to make it look even more realistic. Adding things in each photo like seat belts or showing more to the inside of the car. I would like to have less sharp edges in some of the clones outlines as well. |
